Learning in the 22nd century
The Book Series
Each of the 11 books investigates, through personal stories, lessons we have learned from everyday experiences. The subjects we have chosen for each of the 11 books are ones that intertwine with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Everyone has lifelong learning experiences that have taught us a lesson at some point in our lives. It is these lessons that, when brought together will create a ‘guidebook of learning’.
There are over 120 chapter subjects (11 chapters per book title) so you have a wide number of subjects to choose from. Each chapter will have a link to other chapters (don’t worry about this, you just need to share your story, it will connect) These ‘online’ links allow the book, once published, to take on a whole new dimension with a global audience through the L22c Learning platform.
The intention is to have a range of individuals contributing chapters for each book. We are not looking for experienced authors but for people who are passionate and committed to the subject, who have a ‘story’ to tell, who want to share their ideas and encourage authentic learning in the subject area.
These books are designed for readers of any age. Contributors will be from different countries and backgrounds, different ages, offering different perspectives on these important subjects through personal stories. Are you interested?
The 11 book subject areas are:
- Origins – The importance of learning why and how to live
- Language - Authentic - Meaningful - Connection
- Ethics - Conscience - Consequences - Character.
- People - Community - Purpose - Prosperity -Perpetuity
- Choice - Transition – Transformation - Impact
- Learning - Mutuality of Learning and Teaching
- Space and Place - Global Local - Public Private
- Consumption - Wastefulness - Sufficiency - Balance
- Health – Lifestyles – Self - Others
- Prosperity - Benefits - Rewards A Valued Economy
- Future - Leaving a Legacy
I would welcome meeting / speaking with you to discuss which subject(s) you might be interested in and which chapters. (we have broken down each book into chapters and already have their headings). There is comprehensive guidance throughout so no need to worry. If you have not written/published before, that's perfect. Once ‘The Book Series’ is published we offer you the opportunity, as a contributor, to go on to writing your own book.
We can discuss timelines and the support on offer (detailed author guidance and regular meetings) and how we will manage this exciting project with you.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please do suggest a few dates and times when you are free to meet.
